Brown Rice & Quinoa Porridge with poached pears
1 Cup Brown Rice & Quinoa Mix
2 Cups of Water
½ tsp of Cinnamon
Boil and simmer this mix until absorbed. This makes base of porridge and you can keep in fridge up to 3 days and take what you need each day.
Soy Milk or Coconut Milk
Maple Syrup (1 tsp)
1 Tbls or Nuts or Seeds of Choice
Heat the Porridge Mix up and add either Soy or Coconut milk to make the consistency you desire. Add 1 tsp of Maple Syrup and either a tablespoon of nuts or seeds of your choice. Top with Poached Pear.
1 Tbl Red wine (optional)
Juice of an orange
½ tsp finely cut orange rind
Gently simmer until soft and syrupy careful not to burn the pan.
