My favourites breakfast is this banana, cacao and berry smoothie. It’s filling and nourishing. Because I suffer from inflammation due to Crohn's Disease I have had to cut out my favourite morning drink - Soy Cappuccino. I decided to replace that old favourite with this smoothie and it certainly has made a difference. I was noticing that the coffee (or maybe the soy) was making me feel quite unwell just after drinking a cup or two. As much as I feel it was a big sacrifice to give it up and replace it with something more nourishing, I know I've done the right thing.
1.5 tsp organic cacao powder. Read about the benefits of cacao
250 ml unsweetened almond milk
Add the fruit and cacao to the blender then pour the almond milk on top. Blend until smooth.
